New York-listed betting and gaming supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has been selected alongside William Hill US to power a land-based sportsbook for two gaming facilities in the state of Rhode Island.<\/h3>\n

Following a competitive procurement process run by the Rhode Island Lottery earlier this year, IGT and its commercial partner William Hill US have been chosen as the end-to-end sports betting service provider for the state’s licensed video lottery and table game establishments, Twin River Casino and Tiverton Casino.
\nThe new sportsbook offering will be provided to the Rhode Island Lottery utilizing IGT’s sports betting platform, with William Hill providing sports betting operations and risk management.<\/p>\n

“It’s an exciting time for the Rhode Island Lottery,” said Rhode Island Lottery director Gerald Aubin. “With the introduction of legalized sports betting, we will leverage world-class resources and technology from IGT and William Hill to provide the best-possible sports betting experience for the patrons who visit our casinos.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Sports betting operations are expected to go live at both locations by mid-November, with the initial term of the contract running for a period of five years from the date that the first sports wager is placed at either venue, which may be extended by mutual consent for two successive five-year terms.<\/p>\n
